Awareness Raising Course for Women starting September 3rd, delivering a 12 week course 1.pm to 3.pm

What is the Freedom Programme ?
The Freedom Programme is a 12 week support group for women
Who is it for ?
The Freedom Programme is open to any woman who wishes to learn more about the reality of domestic abuse.
What are its aims ?
To help women to understand the beliefs held by abusive men and in so doing, recognise which of these beliefs they have shared.
To help women to gain self esteem and the confidence to improve the quality of their lives.
To show the effects of domestic abuse on children.
To help women to recognise potential future abusers.
To introduce women to community resources such as the police Domestic Abuse Unit and Woman's Aid.
The Freedom Programme is a domestic violence programme which was created by Pat Craven who holds the copyright (all rights reserved) and evolved from her work with perpetrators of domestic violence.

The programme usually lasts for 11 or 12 weeks and is provided FREE to clients, including all materials. It is provided by hundreds of agencies across the UK. Some of them are rolling so women can join at any time but this varies according to local needs, etc.
Once the lock-down and social distancing rules are relaxed New Hope Community Church will be running the programme with our Certified trained facilitators.
