Like many of you, we’ve being staying up to date with all the information and guidelines that are being given regarding the spread of ‘COVID-19’. We are aware of the severity of this situation and the need for sensible and safe precautions.
Accordingly, all Sunday services are now on hold until we are advised by the government. We are in the process of setting up streaming and midweek podcasts to help everyone stay connected. Further information to follow.
However, we’re also very aware that God is still in control!
Whilst we are being responsible in how we approach the spread of this virus, we want to encourage you to not give into the spread of fear and panic.
Isaiah 41:10 tells us:
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”
We must not allow the size of this issue to diminish the size of our faith.
We do not want any person at New Hope Church to feel isolated or anxious at this time, so we want to encourage you to contact your home group leader or Alan. We want to make sure everyone remains connected, we want to pray for you and want to ensure that you are receiving the help you may need. Using the government guidelines we have identified our church members who are in the “high risk” bracket and would encourage those individuals/families to raise any concerns. We are putting in place practical help should you require assistance.
Church family, even though we are implementing the above changes, there is absolutely no reason to worry. We have never been a church that chooses fear over faith and we are not about to start now!
“If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home”
